Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)
Fundamentals Gi Program
The Fundamentals Program is designed for new students (over the age of 16) that have just started their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. This class will break down the essential concepts and movements of Jiu-Jitsu to help build a solid foundation. The class structure is formed around a warm-up, a lesson on technique, and partner training to practice the technique from the lesson.
Advanced No – Gi Program
(This Program is for students who have made sufficient progress in the Fundamental Program)
No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is a dynamic self-defense system that focuses on applying the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional Gi or uniform.
In No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu the goal is to gain a dominant position using joint-locks and strangleholds, forcing your opponent to submit. Much of the ground game aspect of what you see in mixed martial arts (MMA) is learned in No-Gi training and can be applied to everyday situations.
Students who have previous wrestling experience tend to find No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu to be a great extension to their wrestling background.
